An IPS glow test displays a black fullscreen. IPS glow appears as a warm, silvery light in the corners that shifts as you move your head. Unlike backlight bleed, IPS glow changes with viewing angle.

Is IPS glow the same as backlight bleed?+
No. IPS glow is inherent to IPS panels and shifts with viewing angle. Backlight bleed is light leaking around the edges and stays fixed regardless of viewing angle.
Can IPS glow be reduced?+
Reducing brightness, viewing the screen straight-on, and increasing ambient light can minimize perceived IPS glow. Some glow is normal on all IPS panels.
