About DeviceKit
DeviceKit.app is a free, privacy-first toolkit for testing your screen and devices directly in your browser — built by people who actually use these tools every day.
Why We Built DeviceKit
It started with a simple problem: we bought a new monitor and needed to check it for dead pixels before the return window closed. The tools we found online were either buried in ads, required installing sketchy software, or uploaded our data to unknown servers.
We thought — this should be easier. A simple, private tool that runs in the browser and actually works. So we built one. Then we built another for backlight bleed. Then keyboard testing. Then mouse, webcam, microphone, speakers, controllers…
Today, DeviceKit is a comprehensive suite of 50+ diagnostic tools across six categories — used by thousands of people every month to verify their hardware works correctly.
Our Mission
Make hardware diagnostics free, private, and accessible to everyone — from someone buying their first laptop to an IT professional testing a fleet of workstations.

How We're Different
Privacy First
All tests run locally in your browser. Camera, microphone, and input data never leave your device. We don't fingerprint you, we don't track your keystrokes, and we don't upload your webcam feed.
Instant — No Downloads
Every tool works immediately in your browser. No software to install, no Chrome extension to add, no APK to sideload. Open the page, run the test.
Transparent & Ad-Honest
We're upfront about how the site is funded. We may show ads to keep DeviceKit free. But we'll never put a fake 'Download' button next to a real one, or hide tools behind a paywall.
